Welcome to Córrego da Ladeira!
This “Monte” is located half way from the top of a hill. It was an old farm house built using the old traditional construction of Taipa (rammed earth) and recovered using as much as possible of the traditional ways.
On one side it has a long and wide front porch facing, at the bottom, a lagoon which does wonders in summer for refreshing or just embellishing the view while we are wondering under the tree’s shadow.
The garden is full of little hideouts.
The house has two to three rooms, being able to accommodate up to 5 people.
There is a bathroom, a living room which is joined with the kitchen.
There are fireplaces in the living room and bedrooms.
The original characteristics of “Alentejo’s” architectural style were kept all throughout the house. This means that the doors are low and the walls thick. The art of using local stone
is shown at the porch’s floor and the bathroom’s walls.
Its location allows you to either stay at the house or go to the beach, which is just twenty minutes away.
